Solar Flux is a fun puzzle game set in outer space, in which you have to collect fragments of plasma and use them to rescue dying starts across the Universe. You need to overcome many obstacles along the way, from solar flares to asteroid fields, while managing a limited fuel supply and keeping your shields fully charged. Given that saving the Universe is a rather big responsibility, you would expect to be given some decent equipment with which to complete your mission. What you get, however, is a tiny omni-directional ship that is capable of burning through your entire fuel supply in the blink of an eye and whose shields can take very little punishment. These limitations make the game very challenging, as you always have to keep an eye on your readings to make sure your ship is not destroyed by radiation or left without propulsion in the emptiness of space.
