Front End Digital Media Player  1.0 Description:

Front End Media Player is a play list based digital media player & viewer that uses the powerful QuickTime media system.  This allows you to play back and view movie files, (*.mov), as well as most popular sound and image formats. Front End Player also supports DV, mpeg 1,mp3, and the new mpeg 4 format (QuickTime 6 required). You can add up to 99 files to the play list box and play all the files in the list one after another. Any kind of supported file type will play, mix images movies and sound files for a multimedia presentation. You can save your list and reload it later. In addition you can sort and move files in the list around to play in the order you like. In point and out points can be set on sound and movie files so that you can play back only the parts you want. You can even add in the same file more than once, in combination with the mark points feature you can see different parts of the same file quickly and easily. The snapshot button allows you to get screen grabs of frames from your movie. You can grab frames even while the movie is playing. They are saved to the application output folder in the operating systems native picture format. The player features a shuttle control that allows variable speed slow or fast motion play back of movies and sounds from 0.5 to 9x speed in both forward and reverse. Three preview modes are available each suited for different needs. The small preview mode is ideal for setting up play lists and playing audio files. The large mode which also has a resize feature is great for movie play back and marking in and out points. For presentation, a full screen mode is available. Intuitive controls and keyboard shortcuts allow you to move through your play list in all modes , even access shuttle controls and pause / resume playback. The interface also remembers your settings, you can set your treble, bass, balance and volume levels and leave them. These and other interface settings will be right where you left them the next time you start up the application. In addition to all this, an inline help system is available to get you started quickly as well as messages and warnings that you can choose not to display again as you become more familiar with the use of Front End Digital Media Player. Complete offline and online help is provided easily accessible from the help menu. The Player has been designed to play new formats as they become available in subsequent versions of QuickTime released in the future so you will not need to upgrade all the time. Both help files contain an appendix of supported media types as of QuickTime 6. The online version will contain the most up to date information.
