Py2Bin is a minimalist Mac OS X application that can quickly compile a Python script and convert it to an executable binary file. The binary format is preferable because you can launch it with a simple double click, instead of typing the appropriate commands in the Terminal app. The Py2Bin software package, besides the application, also includes a Python package installer that can be used to quickly deploy the Python programming language interpreter to your Mac computer. All you have to do next is drag and drop the Py2Bin app to your Applications directory. Upon launch, Py2Bin automatically prompts you for the .py file you want to start processing. If you don’t want to navigate to the source file location via the Finder menu, you can simply drag and drop the .py file on top of the Py2Bin main window.
