AudioSlicer is a free and open-source Mac OS X application that is capable of finding silences in an audio track and to split the file into smaller ones. You can name, tag and export the resulting audio files to your hard drive. AudioSlicer supports only the popular MP3 audio format and allows you to configure the split file settings. From the main window, you will be able to playback the tracks you've added and change the silence range. Furthermore, AudioSlicer provides a Preferences window that allows you to set the pay interval before and after silence, the minimum silence duration and the maximum silence volume. You can also set the relative splitpoint in silence in percentages for the tracks you want to export.
